When creating new artwork entries from scratch, adding the art events ist pretty straight forward, but what's eating up most of the time during cataloguing is creating any connected main entities like auctions, exhibitions and publications, that did not previously exist in the system.

There are a lot of existing databases out there that might offer an api connection that might allow importing the information.

The benefits to the users would be:

* create a art event faster (no urgent need to check and add details to entities created during cataloguing)

* Possibly already vetted information

* Further down: when the external databases offer more detailed information user could get suggestions for entities relevant for an artwork
