Reports for Markings
Caitlin Sweeney
Jenn provided the following description of how the "markings" feature could be used, perhaps in the form of a report:
For some background, Monet's works that were left in the studio when he died were stamped with his signature by his sole heir and then a few select dealers when his son died. We have learned a lot about the number of stamps that existed (more than was initially thought) and the variations in the appearance of the stamps over time (some stamps are rubber and some metal, which result in visual differences we want to document).
What we want to be able to do is track the use of the stamps across Monet's work. We envision doing this by exporting that data into some sort of document, likely Excel/Google Sheet, to compare and review holistically with our Monet committee.
We are imagining we would want to have image details of the signatures, and we want to be able to have additional information from the artwork record of those works the marking is linked to – signature location, tombstone information (date, medium, dimensions, title), IDs, dossier number, or associated agents. [Specifically, they would like to be able to see whether the artworks is somehow connected to specific agents in the provenance.]
In turn, could the marking details come up when we pulled an artwork report?

This might also be useful for Wesselmann somewhere down the line, should we want to get that granular.
