For text / string filters, the following behaviour is expected:
  • Exact matches
    : When enclosing terms in quotation marks, the exact combination of terms is expected to be matched in the results. Example: Entering
    "red flower"
    will only show results where the 2 words are appearing in this order
  • Partial matches
    : Without quotation marks, the search terms also hit partial matches. Example: Entering
    red flower
    will match other results such as
    flowers in a red-orange vase
  • Diacritics do not affect the search result, if used
    without quotation marks
    . Example: the term
    château
    should match both
    château
    and
    chateau
    ; the other way around
    chateau
    should also match both
    château
    and
    chateau
  • Terms with diacritics enclosed
    within quotation marks
    are resulting exact matches that show the same diacritics
